[ As always, the situation starts off as something innocent.
They're working together on a job. Or they were, until they got caught in the middle - there's shouting and fighting and everything is a blur but at the end of it, the other gang is down three men, Royce is gone, and Cloud is under arrest. Or captured. Whatever, it doesn't matter. They drag Cloud to a little room and handcuff him to the metal desk, and leave him there. We'll be back later once we figure out what we're going to do with you, the leader says, and he slams the door shut behind him.
About an hour later, the door opens again, and this time, Royce slides in. He doesn't bother closing the door behind him because everybody is dead. Oops. Sorry, Cloud.
Royce reaches to ruffle Cloud's hair affectionately, picks the lock of the handcuffs, and then drags Cloud out of the room by the cuffs, not bothering to unlock the one still around Cloud's wrist.
It makes it easier for Royce to get up close and sneakily close the cuff around a bedpost once they get back to the safehouse Royce has secured for them. ]
You know, I should really leave you here all night for not just killing the rest of them when you had the chance. [ Royce breathes against Cloud's mouth once he's managed to untangle their tongues. He's on Cloud's lap, straddled, on the bed, quietly pleased with the position he's managed to maneuver himself into. He shifts idly with a sigh, hand settling on Cloud's chest, over his heart. ]
